Culture Night 2026: When Your Brain Tricks You

Culture Night 2026
9 October 2026

Experience Culture Night with the Lundbeck Foundation – an event where we are focusing on the brain.

Kulturnatten 2026

When Your Brain Tricks You

You do not always experience the world exactly as it is. The brain automatically interprets, fills in gaps and makes assumptions - often without you even noticing.

Come and experience optical illusions, colour illusions and simple experiments that reveal how our vision can deceive us - and how we can overlook what is right in front of us.

We will also explore memory: Why do false memories arise, and why can eyewitness testimony be unreliable? Memory is not an archive - memories are recreated every time we recall them.
